Milwaukie Bowl

champs Jordan Yoke & Ryan Nikolas

Jordan Yoke and Ryan Nikolas captured JBT titles in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action at Milwaukie Bowl.

Lucas Stone and Jared McNeal opened the scratch division stepladder finals with a thrilling match that saw Stone escape with a 247-239 win.  Stone lost the look in round two, and Yoke took advantage for a comfortable 223-182 win.  Jordan then beat Eryk Jensen 228-183 to reach the title match.

Top seed Jordan Plunkett was looking to avenge a title match loss the day before in Vancouver, but the determined Yoke was not going to allow that to happen. He took over in the second half of the game for a 216-173 win and his second career JBT title.

The handicap division stepladder finals opened with Luke Jordan making his first finals appearance a success with a big 262-175 win over Quinton Miller, another first-time finalist.  AJ Scherschel then turned the tables on Jordan, winning round two 277-211.  The semifinal match was an absolute classic, as Scherschel and Nikolas both struck a ton, but Ryan squeaked out the 233-231 win to advance to the title game.

Top seed Ryan Laird broke out of a protracted JBT slump in a huge way, leading a high-scoring field to grab the top seed.  Unfortunately, he struggled in the title game, and Nikolas was able to take advantage for a 234-188 win and his first career JBT title.

Thanks as always to the crew at Milwaukie for a fantastic job as always hosting our Tour.  $1,500 in scholarships were awarded to bowlers of all ages and averages- want in on the fun?  Check out our schedule and come on out to the next JBT event, it's as simple as that!
