        Ryan was the winning name at Oasis Lanes, as Mr. Scheer and Mr. Doan captured titles in exciting JBT New Mexico-Texas Conference action.

        Scheer climbed the ladder to capture his second career JBT title.  He began with a 217-216 squeaker over Jess Gagliardi in round one.  Ryan then got by Tim Crites 226-189, and followed with a 217-207 win over Labriel Leach to reach the title match.

        Top qualifier Rebeca Reguero had enjoyed her most dominant scratch division JBT event to date, sweeping the leader board en route to the top seed.  However, the drying lanes proved challenging not just to her but to Scheer as well, and the mid-game was a struggle for both.  Rebeca got it back together to double in the tenth, forcing Ryan to do the same.  Scheer was able to get the hits, and won the match 179-181 for the title.

        Andrew Esparza opened the handicap division stepladder finals with a 246-194 win over Steven Buster  Johnny Pacheco then beat Esparza, 212-196, and followed with a 248-168 victory over Josh Helmick to reach the title match.

        Top seed Ryan Doan had a big lead early in the semifinals, but had to hang on to maintain the top seed over Helmick.  The title match against Pacheco proved to be a war of attrition, with both bowlers struggling to find the right line.  In the end, Doan switched from a no-thumb  to thum-in delivery to take the lane out of play, and the two marks that yielded were enough for a 212-201 win and the championship, his second JBT title.
