AZ BAKER SHOOTOUT

Five JBT veterans past and preset teamed up for a victory worth a lot more than 'squadoosh' in extremely fun and exciting action at the AZ Baker Shootout, hosted by AMF Christown.
25 teams rolled 12 Baker-style games each, with the top 12 teams advancing to best 2-of-3 matchplay. In the round of eight, the #2 seeded team, named 'We're Going Sheet', did plenty of that en route to a 2-0 sweep of #12 "40:1". However, the top seeded team "Bowling With Leverage", a finalist last year, fell in 3 games to #9 "Broseph Stalins".
In the semifinal games, #4 "Squadoosh" ended "Broseph Stalin"s run 257-222 and 202-194, while "We're Going Sheet" turned into "We're Going Home" at the hands of #3 seeded "A...S...Who?" 224-223 and 231-201.
The title match was a competitive one between bowlers with dozens of titles and tens of thousands in career JBT earnings between them. Squadoosh won the first game 203-182, but A..S..Who rebounded for a 198-193 game two squeaker. The decider was controlled by Squadoosh, winning the title with the 220-180 victory. It was the 5th win for Bethany Baker (nice when the format is named after you), 8th for Randy Cote, 9th for all-time female JBT title leader Bryanna Caldwell, 9th also for James Hawkins, and 18th for Cameron Smith, good fore sole possession of 7th place on our all-time titles list.
