    William Entsminger and Nick Sanchez opened the 2010-11 New Mexico-Texas Conference season with wins in exciting JBT action at Albuquerque's Holiday Bowl.

    Jacob Wright, the early scratch leader, opened up the stepladder finals with a 204-177 win over Tim Baribeau, the highest finisher of a bunch of graduates who successfully moved up from handicap to scratch.  Hannah Stedman then defeated Wright 202-182, before Ryan Scheer Stopped Stedman 234-181 to advance to the title match,

    Top seed William Entsminger took over in the fifth game, and never looked back en route to a comfortable lead.  Scheer appeared to have the better of him in the title game, however, starting with the first five strikes.  However, late opens from Ryan allowed William just enough room for the comeback, and Entsminger's tenth frame double sealed a 218-213 win, and the fifth title of his excellent JBT career.

    Fernando Delarosa opened the handicap division stepladder finals with a 228-171 win over Jerry Carter.    Micayala Scheer then beat Delarosa 216-157.  Nick Sanchez then stopped Scheer 229-187, advancing to the the title game.

    Top qualifier Ben Stedman had a big semifinal round to grab the top seed, but faced a tough challenge from Sanchez, last season's most improved award winner.  Both bowlers rolled fine clean games, but in the end it was Sanchez who escaped with a 244-232 win and his first career JBT victory.
