        Josh Jackson and Kjerstin Richards captured JBT titles in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action at Tacoma's Narrows Plaza Bowl.

        In the survivor format, bowlers compete in low-bowler-out matches after the first cut, creating do or die situations all over the bowling center for a few breathtaking hours.  The scratch division was eventually whittled down to three bowlers, with  Jackson's 237 and Perry Crowell's 200 eliminating Ryan Showalter (183) to set up the title match.  In a well-bowled finale, Jackson edged Crowell 233-222 for the win, the 4th victory of Josh's JBT career.

        The handicap division was also carved down to just three survivors, and in that three-way round Richards (229) and Bri Hemming (197) eliminated John Ildefonso (183) to set up the title match.  Bri has been oh-so-close to JBT victory a few times in the past, while Kjerstin was in that spot just the previous day with a heartbreaking 2nd place finish.  The sports cliche would be to say that something had to give, but after ten frames, nothing gave, as they both bowled great and tied the match at 243.  Richards would not be denied in the rolloff though, striking on the first four shots to shut out Hemming, and claim the first championship of her JBT career.
