champs Marshall Kent & Khalid Lucas

        Marshall Kent and Khalid Lucas topped a large field to capture JBT titles in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action at Splits.

        Perry Crowell IV opened up an VIII-person stepladder finals with a 229 game that edged Ryan Showalter (225) and Jared McNeal (211).  Arizona's Aaron Foshie then fired a 238 that escaped against Tristan Curtis (237) and Crowell (181), and wrapped up a coveted Invitational berth.  Current Junior Gold champ (and TPC runner-up) Marshall Kent then rolled 220 to cruise by Tyler Cruz (195) and Foshie (150) to reach the title match.

        Top seed Cameron Weier bowled well and had a great look on the Beaten Path pattern en route to the top seed, but struggled early against Kent.  However, he crawled back into the match with a late triple.  With a chance to strike out to force Kent to fill 20, Weier left a 3-6 on the first shot, wrapping o a 203-193 win for Marshall.  The victory was the 10th of his JBT career, making him only the 21st bowler in our history to reach that level- even more impressive to do that from out of the Pac NW area!

        Jaeger Krause opened up his first career handicap stepladder finals with a 228-200 win over another rookie who had an excellent day, Tre Manning.  Tyler Satter then rolled to a 244-181 win over Krause.  Oakley Murphy then stopped Satter 237-210 to reach the title game.

    Top seed Khalid Lucas grabbed the lead with a 640 scratch set, but the up-and-coming lefty looked to give the title match away with two late open frames on easy spares.  However, he rebounded brilliantly with a closing triple, locking up a 239-213 win and a long-awaited first career JBT title.
