    Aaron Foshie and Danielle Stewart tamed the spicy pickle to capture JBT titles in exciting JBT Arizona Conference action at Pickle... er... Cactus Bowl.

    After 5 games of qualifying on a grueling Viper pattern, the top 16 in each division advanced to our pick yer poison round, where higher seeded bowlers chose who they wanted to play in a 2 of 3 match.  Gregg Kern led the scratch qualifiers at just under a 200 average, but did not have the antidote for the poison of his choice, Marcus Stanley, who swept him 2-0.  Eventually four bowlers were left, and in those single game matches, Foshie beat Cameron Smith 222-203, and Lanndyn Carnate stopped Stanley's fine run 236-199, to set up a veteran finale.

    The title mach was indicative of the pure grind that the whole event was, but in the end Fosh.0 put together enough for a 174-167 win and the 8th title of Aaron's excellent JBT career, causing his victims to, annoyingly, 'Te-bow' at his feet (see below).

    Andrew Dorsey mowed the field down in handicap qualifying, but he too suffered the top seed jinx, picking Ryan Zent to bowl, but losing to him in two poisonous games.  Shelby Dempsey stopped Zent's run in the next round, but in the ensuing final four match, Shelby lost to Stewart 176-172.  Justice Lynch won the other semifinal match 181-168 to set up the all-in-the-family title match.

    Title matches between relatives often take on a different character than regular matches, but this one remained intense throughout.  Both bowlers finished well, but Stewart's tenth frame mark gave her the 195-190 win, and the second title of her JBT career.

    Kristen Lee won her second Women's Series event with a 152-146 grindout over Jory Koizumi.  Kristen needs one more win to qualify for the 2012 Girls TPC this summer.
