        In a fun and exciting Pac NW Baker Shootout hosted by Hiline Lanes, the "Do The Shabaka" fivesome outlasted the field to come out on top.

        The "Hoof Hearted" team was the only team plus after the demanding 12-game qualifier on the chameleon lane pattern, but fell to the Erik Holbein-led Team 3 in three tough games of best-of-3 matchplay.   They carried that momentum all the way to the finals, beating the "More Fresh" team 2-1 in the semifinals.  In the other semi, "Do The Shabaka", led by Pac NW Diretcor (and 2-time JBT champ) Evan Olson, beat Team 15, featuring a fully-recovered John Jordan, 2-1, to set up a very talented title match.

        A very entertaining title matchup ensued, and the first game ended up tied at 213.  Holbein only got 9 on the rolloff, but Olson could only manage 8.  In game two, a pocket 7-10 in the tenth spelled heartbreak for Holbein's team (Sam Neves, Greg Lobo, Becky Davidson, Robby Davidson, Holbein), forcing a third game for all the marbles.  An early 4-bagger from the Shabakans proved necessary, as they opened from the seventh frame on.  It turned out to be enough though, as they won the game 172-149 for the championship.  The win was Olson's third, Aaron Yoon's 3rd, Luke Jordan's 3rd, and the first one for Tyler Stickler and Michael Paulson.
