TOURNAMENT OF ALL-TIME CHAMPIONS

Kyle King reminded the Tour of his talents, while Brendan Lindsey made a statement of his own, as champions of the JBT Tournament of All-Time Champions, hosted by Let It Roll Bowl in Phoenix AZ.
Mark Myers opened the scratch division stepladder finals with a 235-223 win over his cousin and previous day's Invitational winner Riley Dempsey. Cameron Smith then defeated Myers 213-205 to advance to the title match.
Top seed King, with 57 wins but only a few this year as he was busy with non-JBT events, and Cameron with 36 wins and a season this year more dominant than any even Kyle has ever put together, created the dream T of C title matchup. Either could win in any given game, but this time it was Kyle with a good look and a confident 237-171 win, as he creeps towards the unprecedented 60-title mark.
In a first round matchup that was confusing to announce, it was Brendan Lindsey over Lindsey Ailport (see?) 236-208. Brendan then rolled past Sam Amaral 220-199 to reach the title match.
Top seed Pamela Wright took over the lead in the last two games, but Lindsey has been impossible to beat in matchplay this spring, winning in his hometown of Pahrump NV for his first title, then sweeping the Mojave Invitational in April. He did it again here, winning a well-bowled title match 256-231 for the third victory of his JBT career.
