        Anthony Douglas added a scratch singles title to his JBT collection by outlasting a tough field in the Pac NW Overnight Marathon, hosted by Tacoma's Tower Lanes.

        Bowlers rolled six games on two different lane conditions, and could only use a maximum of three balls the entire event, adding to the challenge the late hour already presented.   Michael Paulson was excellent in qualifying, but struggled a bit in the triple-elimination matchplay portion, eventually bowling out in round six.  Meanwhile, Douglas and Tristan Curtis shined, getting through to the late rounds with only one loss.   Ryan Showalter took the completely opposite route, losing his first two games but rebounding to avoid elimination again and again.  In round eight, Anthony eliminated Brian Monnette, while Ryan ended Curtis' run in a hard fought game, to set up the title match.

        Showalter was looking for his eighth consecutive win, but started having trouble with the corner pins, and just as dawn was beginning to break, Douglas broke another ten pins to lock up the 217-194 win, and the first scratch title and third overall win of his JBT career.
