        Jakob Butturff continued his season-long dominance, while Kevin Badke tasted victory for the first time, in exciting JBT Arizona Conference action at Cactus Bowl in Tucson.

        Curtis Lindeman came out striking to begin the scratch division stepladder finals, defeating Tim Jacob 268-222.  Mark Myers, who rolled the only mulligan-assisted 300 game of the event, then defeated Lindeman 225-192.  Butturff then stopped Myers 219-177 to advance to the title game.

        Top seed Cortez Schenck defeated Jakob in the infamous day-delayed title game at Santa Fe just last week, so the disappointment from that match was still fresh on Butturff's mind.  He responded as he almost always does- with a lot of strikes, which was plenty to defeat a surprisingly struggling Schenck 234-212 to capture the 11th title of his JBT career.

        Mike Grisham, making his first finals, opened up the handicap division stepladder finals with a 216-204 win over veteran Alex Pellegrino.  Kevin Badke then defeated Pellegrino 208-172, and followed with a 224-168 win over another first time finals, Samantha Sellers, to reach the first title match of his JBT career.

        Ten year-old top seed TJ Rock put on the performance of his young JBT career, leading all eight preliminary rounds in a dominant display of talent.  However, he struggled in the title match, and Badke seemed to be gaining momentum with every game.  The result was a 227-188 win for Kevin, good for the first title of his JBT career.

        Marina Stever continued some dominance of her own, defeating Shelby Dempaey 233-201 for her fourth Impact Bowling Women's Series title of the season already.
