PAC NW BAKER TEAM EVENT

        Ermargerd!  They won!  The team named after the overexcited meme-girl beat some terrific competition to capture the Pac NW Baker Team event, hosted by Hiline Lanes.

    After twelve Baker-style qualifying games on the demanding Viper pattern, the top 12 teams moved on to best 2-of-3 Baker-style matchplay.  The top four teams earned a one-round bye, and three of them were winners after the bye, with only #3 'Cooper's Troopers' getting upset, by #6 'Seabiscuit'.  (No, we're not sure about these team names, either).

    In the semifinals, Ermagerd, the #2 seed, sent Seabiscuit (Tristan Curtis, Kyler Crevier, Thomas Nute, Erik Holbein, Jody Rees) back to the stables with a 2-0 sweep.  In the other match, top seed 'We Don't Kara' (Eddy Smith, Jesse Covington, Nick Devlin, Brandon Myers, Kara Lieber) were upset 2-1 by number 4 seed '#stone8  #fry' (Correen Lieber, Tanner Spacey, John Jordan, Elisa Couch, Daniel Hanson), setting up the title match.

    #stone8 avoided any #stone8s in a solid first game win 222-196.  However, Ermagerd rebounded for a big 249-188 game two win, and rode that momentum just long enough to win the deciding game 195-171 to capture the title.  It was Ryan's 2nd career title, Courtney's third (and second scratch win in less than a month), John's first, and PBA superstar Hugh Miller helped his son Quinton earn their first career JBT titles each.
