        If you call your team "We Got Titles" against a very strong field of bowlers from all over the Northwest that collectively have a lot more titles than you, you'd better back it up.  The talented quintet did just that, topping the sold-out Pac NW Baker Team tournament hosted by Pat Johns' Hiline Lanes in Burien.

        Twenty-four five-person teams each rolled twelve Baker games on the tricky WTBA Seoul pattern, with the top 12 teams advancing to best 2-of-3 match play.  Baker is totally unlike other bowling with its complete team emphasis, with chemistry and energy as important as the individual resumes brought to the team. 

        In the semifinals, the team called "Hoof Hearted"  (don't think about that one for too long) advanced to the title match for the second straight year, while "We Got Titles" earned the chance to prove it with their semifinal win.   They came out firing in the finals easily winning game one 265-217.  The second game was much more of a grind, but they won again, 185-178, to seal the victory.  Adult team member Mike Karch helped Nick Devlin, Brandon Myers, and Matt Yaw earn their second career JBT titles, while Eddy Smith picked up career title #5.

        Smith also collected a bonus $25 as the high junior survivor in the exciting '9 or better' shootout held mid-qualifying.  John Jordan won teh event for a $25 cash bonus.
