20th CENTURY LANES

champs Dayton Wickham & Andrew Heritage

Andrew Heritage and Dayton Wickham captured JBT titles in exciting Pacifc Northwest Conference action at Portland's 20th Century Lanes.

Chris Tuholski began the scratch division stepladder finals with a 221-177 win over Tyler Boe.  The next match was a high scoring affair, with defending Bowler of the Year Nick Devlin getting by Tuholski 245-235.  Devlin kept the strikes coming in a 255-167 semifinal win over Tyler Hogstrom to reach the title match.

Andrew Heritage bowled great all day to grab the top seed.  The last time he did so the title match didn't go his way, but he was determined to change that this time.  In a thrilling finish, Andrew doubled in the tenth for a 214-204 win over Devlin, earning him the first title of his JBT career.

Two first-time finalists opened the handicap division stepladder finals, with Brenden Hopkins defeating Justin Song 229-210.  In a nailbiter second match, Kerissa Andersen edged Hopkins 227-223.  Daniel Johnson, already a winner this season at Acme, then stopped Andersen in another close match, 225-219, to advance to the title game.

Wickham had grabbed the top seed away from Johnson in the last game of the semifinals, and was able to consolidate that lead with a 212-199 title match win.  It's the second JBT title of Dayton's career.

Zoe Mahn, who thrilled the crowd with a front-9 game three, used that score to help grab the second seed for the day's Women's Series event.  In the title game, she upset top seed Kelsey Abrahamsen 181-171 for her first Women's Series title of the season.

Thanks as always to the crew at 20th Century for a great job hosting our Tour.  Want in on all the fun and excitement?  Just check out our schedule and come on down, that's all there is to it!
