        Eric Hartchett and Axel Barajas started 2015 with JBT titles in exciting dual conference action at Yuma's Inca Lanes.

        Wesley Low began the scratch division stepladder finals with a tenth frame strike to defeat Ben Canfield 210-204.  Bobby Hornacek then stopped Low 203-167.  Brand new Junior Team USA member Dallas Leong then defeated Hornacek 224-200 to reach the title match.

        Top seed Hatchett swept the leaderboard, but had his hands full with the talented Dallas in an all-Vegas title match.  After going dutch through the first five frames, Eric found the look on the other lane, striking out for a 249-230 win in a well-bowled title match.  It's Hatchett's 14th career JBT title.

         Bex Boyko began her first handicap finals since late 2013 with a 199-179 win over Yuma bowler Sierra Friend.  Abby Franklin then stopped Boyko 232-216.  Franklin rolled on in the semifinal match, beating Zach Rapp 217-191, to reach the title match.

        Top seed Axel Barajas was looking to win his second consecutive event, while Abby was looking to break a string of title match disappointments.  Barajas had, like Eric, ran the leader board, and he was just as tough in the title match beating Abby 209-186 for the title and his 2nd career JBT title.

        Katelyn Corwin fired a clean 188 game to beat Gillian Coyle's 156 to capture the day's Women's Series title.
