INCA LANES
champs Wesley Low & Aaron Coleman
Wesley Low made some JBT history, while Aaron Coleman defended his home turf, in exciting JBT action at Yuma's Inca Lanes.
After the 5-game qualifying round, advancing bowlers competed in head to head matchplay, with re-seeding, so the highest seeded remaining player faced off against the lowest in all rounds. Both scratch division finalists destroyed their semifinal opponents, as Dallas Leong fired 472 for two games to oust Bobby Hornacek, while Wesley Low topped that with 511 for two to eliminate previous day's champ Eric Hatchett.
In the resulting finale, Low outlasted Leong to become the 11th bowler in SW/NW history to capture 20 titles- congrats on this amazing achievement!
Handicap matchplay bowlers were also carved down to four, and in those semifinals, Marco Flores beat Bex Boyko, who made her second straight finals, 244-209, and Coleman stopped Gillian Coyle 213-177 to set up the title match.
Coleman, who qualified last for matchplay, was excellent in the knockout rounds, and in a close title game, defeated Flores 234-218 for the second victory of his JBT career.
Coyle also reached the Women's Series title match, but had to settle for runner up there as Randi Speiler came up with the 212-170 win for another girls' crown.
Thanks to the whole crew at Inca for a great job hosting our Tour for the first time since 2005! Want in on all the fun? Just check out our schedule and come on out to the next JBT event!
