        William Yoder and Krysta Carlisle added titles to their JBT collections in exciting NM-TX Conference action at Lubbock's South Plains Lanes.

        Trey Sledge began the scratch division stepladder finals with a 246-191 win over Adel Wahner, who finally broke through for her first scratch top-5 finish.  Josh Helmick then stopped Sledge 208-191, and followed with a 237-168 win over Angel Ortega to reach the title game.

        Top seed Yoder had a big semifinal set to grab the top seed on the challenging Mexico City pattern, and kept that momentum in the finale for a 215-180 win over Helmick, good for the fifth title of his JBT career.

        Jay Heffer made her first handicap finals a success with a 194-179 win over Isaac Duran in round one of the stepladder.  She then played her friend Taylor Herson, and Herson came away with a 208-183 win.  Newcomer Mateo Gonzalez then beat Herson 223-205 to advance to the title match. 

        Top seed Carlisle took over the lead with a huge game six, and found herself in a great title match battle with Gonzalez, who has only been bowling for four months.  After Mateo marked in two of the last three frames, Krysta needed a 19 fill in the tenth to win.  She did one better, going strike-spare for a thrilling 228-226 win and the second title of her JBT career.

        The Women's Series match was also a thriller, as Bree Vargas came up with a clutch double for a 191-189 win over Adel Wahner for the day's girl's crown.
