champs Cerell Cardines & Daryus Alo, and Women's Series champ Randi Speiler

        Cerell Cardines and Daryus Alo claimed landmark wins in exciting JBT Mojave Conference action at Wildfire Lanes.

        Cardines earned the #2 seed for matchplay, and defeated #7 Eric Hatchett and #4 Jakbo Butturff on the way to the title match.  He'd have his hands full in that match with top seed Wesley Low, who ousted #8 KJ Martinez and early leader #6 Jamison Peyton to earn the chance to sweep the weekend.  However, it was Cerell, appearing in his first scratch title match, that looked like the veteran, tossing ten strikes in a brilliant 267-223 win, good for his first scratch and second career JBT title.

        The top four handicap seeds all made it to the semifinals, but it went against the seeds from there, as #4 Dante Rohe ousted top seed Dee Handley, and #3 Daryus Alo beat #2 Tyler Thomas to set up the title match.  Despite a furious comeback from Dante, Daryus finished the title match off strong, winning 233-218 for the title.  His third win at just eight years old makes him the youngest to accomplish that feat!

        Randi Speiler won the day's Women's Series event, defeating Dee Handley 188-163 for her 5th Mojave girls' title of the season.
