NM-TX DOUBLES

        William Yoder and Sam Pinge pulled off a rare feat, while a Texas team each claimed their first wins, in exciting action at the JBT NM-TX Doubles Classic, held at Tenpins & More @ Rio Rancho.

        13-time JBT champ Bill Grant teamed with Josh Herschman to lead the scratch division of the tournament, but Yoder and Pinge came up with a semifinal win over Blayne Hurst and Jacob Gill, and followed up with the win over Josh and Bill for the title.  They successfully defended their 2015 victory, becoming one of the very few teams ever to defend a doubles title.

        Levi Fintel and Rebekah Hastings took over the handicap division lead in round four, and defeated the adult-junior team of Elijah Johnson and James Allen.  It was the first JBT title for each bowler.
