LAVA LANES
champs Andy Herrmann & Tyler Coates with Girls & U17 winner Reagan Lorey
Andy Herrmann and Tyler Coates survived the competition to earn JBT titles in Pacific Northwest Conference action at Lava Lanes in Bend, Oregon.
Scores were very high in the scratch survivor rounds, as previous day's champ Jerry Jennings' 223 was only enough to bow out in fourth. Kelsey Abrahamsen followed up a 275 with a 233, but that wasn't enough either, as Herrmann and Ryan Nikolas has 237 and 254 to advance to the final. In the title game, Andy kept on striking, and his 223-201 win was good for his 4th career JBT title.
Ten handicap finalists were reduced down to four, and in those self-chosen semifinals, Cosmo Castellano eliminated Regan Lorey, while Tyler Coates ousted Madison Bash, setting up the final. Coates, a gracious runner-up the day before, got to feel the other side with a 218-192 win over Castellano, good for his first career JBT title.
Lorey got some revenge in the Girls Scratch final with a 221-198 win over Bailey Peters, while the match of the day may have been in U17, where Lorey and Jennings tied at 193, with Lorey capping off hr excellent day with a 9-8 win in the rolloff for the U17 win.
Thanks to everyone at Bend for a great job hosting our Tour for the first time. Get in on the fun and come on out to the next JBT event!
