        Sergio Torres and Rieley Ulanaday picked up big wins in exciting JBT Mojave Conference action at Henderson's Strike Zone at Sunset Station.

        Joe Gerencser lit up the qualifying round averaging over 250, but struggled in matchplay as #8 Donovan Koff pulled off the upset.  Koff kept it rolling in the semifinals, getting past #5 Jerod Walker to advance to his first scratch division title match.  Torres, the #2 seed, would be his opponent, as he outstruck #7 Cortez Schenck and #3 Harley Sweigart to get to the final match.

          The title game proved to be lower scoring than previous rounds, but in the end Sergio had enough for a 199-170 win, the fourth of his JBT career.  

            Rieley Ulanday gained the top seed for matchplay, then went on an absolute tear through the field, not giving his opponents much of a chance.  His 481 two-game set beat #9 William Robbins in round two, and he followed that with a 299-224 win over first time top-5 finisher Sterling Wake to advance to the championship.  His opponent would be Jopfel Gafate, and he looked tough as well with wins over April McDonnell and Kyle Rendon to reach the final game.

            Gafate struggled in the title game, while Ulanday kept on cruising, and the 234-177 final score was good for the second title of his JBT career.

            Samantha Conti picked up her first Girls scratch win of the season with a 192-175 win over April McDonnell, while Cerell Cardines racked up yet another U17 win with a 242-181 win over Rendon.
