        Joe Gerencser and Brandon Duffy had the antidotes to all their opponents, capturing JBT titles in exciting Mojave Conference action at Texas Station's Texas Star Lanes.

        In the event's 'pick your poison' format, higher seeded bowlers got to pick who they wanted to play in head to head matches.  Top seed Nick Devlin chose to guarantee that "Nick" would make the finals, as he ousted Nick Pollak in one semifinal, while Joe Gerencser fired a big game to get past Cortez Schenck.   The title match came down to the tenth frame, and when Devlin struck on his fill ball, Joe was forced to mark to win.  Joe perhaps had his adrenaline up, firing the ball wide right, but luckily only left a 1-2, which he easily spared for a 201-193 win and his third career JBT title.

        Duffy beat Tyler Hedges in one handicap semifinal 188-157, while in the other, 9 year-old Noel Gregorich beat Kyle Wilson 200-162 to set up the title match.  While Wilson appeared flustered by the large handicap difference he had to make up against Noel, Duffy just went about his business of striking, which he did very well (when his dad wasn't cheering on his Steelers mid-shot).  Despite a fine effort from the talented youngster, Brandon rolled past Noel 234-186, earning the third title of his JBT career.

        The day's U17 title went to Cerell Cardines, who earned his fourth U17 win with a 217-181 win over Nolan Am-Khong.  Leah Glazer swept the weekend's girls scratch events, this time beating April McDonnell for the crown.
