LET IT ROLL

champs Lucas Rabb & Leah Zweig with Clifford Robbins, Sean Seng, Kaylee Am-Khong, Connor Lawrence

All the 'L's came up 'W's, as Lucas Rabb and Leah Zweig earned JBT titles in exciting Arizona Conference action at Let It Roll in Phoenix.

Ryan Perry opened the scratch division stepladder finals by striking in the tenth for s 209-203 win over Josh Mabry.  In another close match, Justin Song got past Perry 194-190.  Lucas Rabb then stopped Song 190-166 to advance to the title game.

Heeee's back!  Cortez Schenck took some time off during Spring Break to revisit the tour he had been so dominant on, and showed off how he won 92 times by grabbing the top seed on the challenging pattern.  However, he had trouble getting locked in on the finals pair, while Rabb made a set of great moves and started stringing.  Lucas ended up winning 241-212 for his third career and first scratch singles JBT title.

Clifford Robbins, who just won't stop making cuts, began the handicap finals with a 242-211 win over Silas Phillips, also on a hot streak of late.  Elijah Meclhor then put a top to Robbins' run 246-221.   Shawn Seng then turned the tables on Melchor with a 251-222 semifinal win to advance to the title game.

Leah Zweig has been busy with her ASU studies and only bowled sporadically this season, but she must have found some time for practice as she was wonderful here, rallying to the top seed.  In a close and very well bowled title game, Zweig got the spare she needed in the tenth for a 256-250 win, and her third career JBT title.

Kaylee Am-Khong and Stefanny Toala played in a Priority Girls Scratch title match with all-conference implications, and this time Kaylee came out on top 170-150 for the big win.  Robbins got some vengeance by winning the U17 subdivision with a 247-200 win over Gavin Holter.

Big thanks as always to the team at Let It Roll for hosting us.  Want in on all the fun?  Just check out our schedule and come on down, that's all you have to do!
