NARROWS PLAZA BOWL

champs Jacob Mullen & Derek Haight; Tyger Miller, Andrew Martin, Evan Smith, Hunter Bower

Jacob Mullen and Derek Haight captured titles in exciting action to wrap up the Pac NW Conference JBT season at Narrows Plaza Bowl.

Tyler Hogstrom began the scratch division stepladder finals with a 208-175 win over Donovan Grubaugh.  Tyger Miller, who earlier thrilled the crowd with a perfect 300 game, then defeated Hogstrom 252-196.  He continued the torrid striking pace with a 267-227 semifinal win over Tyler Boe to advance to the title match.

Top seed Jacob Mullen has been on a tear through the winter and spring portion of the Tour, and continued to do so by leading the event here.  In the final, Miller lost the left land just a bit, and Mullen didn't give him time to catch up.  The 237-210 final score was good for the 8th title of his JBT career.

Cosmo Castellano opened the handicap division stepladder finals with a 207-188 victory over Lailani Wallin, finishing fifth for the second straight event.  In a thrilling second round, Caosmo snuck past Jonathan Lorey 240-234.  Derek Haight turned the tables in the semifinals with a 226-220 win over Castellano to move on to the title match.

Top seed Andrew Martin has been knocking on the door of his first singles title including a great performance here.  But that moment would have to wait, as Haight came up with a great game to defeat Martin 231-204 and capture his long awaited first JBT title of any type.

Hunter Bower won the day's U17 subdivision with a 212-182 win over Ethen Maxwell.  Evan Smith took the Priority Girls scratch win with a 181-172 squeaker over AJ Schock.

Big thanks to the team at Narrows for a great job hosting our Tour. The field is now set for the 2018 Pac NW Invitational, featuring $1,000 top prizes in scratch and handicap.
