Four bowlers earned titles in exciting action at the JBT NM-TX Doubles Classic, hosted by Tenpins & More @ Rio Rancho.
Brad Harvey and Matt Smith won round one of the scratch division Baker-format stepladder finals 258-202 over Jonah Seawright and Matteo Bergonzi. The high powered team of Deo Benard and Harley Sweigart won round two 258-211 over Smith and Harvey to move on to the title match.
Top seeds Zach Harvey and DeeRonn Booker had been fantastic all day, but Harley is on an incredible roll in Doubles tournaments, and he and Deo won the title game 257-233, good for Deo's 10th career JBT title and Sweigart's amazing 43rd.
The father-daughter team of Ron and Angela Romro won round one of the handicap finals 195-185 over Gerry Smith & Seth Vigil. The Romeros then got by Nathan Nguyen and Tyler Doucett 209-175 to reach the title match. Top seeds Lane White and Jordan Womble were brilliant to grab the #1 spot, and the Texans remained solid in the finale, winning 234-188 for their first and second career JBT titles respiectively.
