RAINBOW LANES

champs Tyler Boe & Colt Jance

Tyler Boe and Colt Jance found the end of the rainbow to their liking, winning JBT titles in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action at Rainbow Lanes.

Tommie McNeal began the scratch division stepladder finals by showing why he made Junior Team USA again, running the front ten strikes in a 289-153 win over Isaac Mailkoff.   McNeal kept the pins flying in a 258-223 win over early-round leader Tyler Coates to advance to the title game.

Top seed Boe and Tommie then engaged in a lighthearted but entertaining final.  After McNeal finished at 224, Boe got exactly the 19 pins in the tenth he needed for a 225 game and one pin win, good for the seventh title of his JBT career.

Lucas LeBlanc made his first career handicap finals a success with a 228-184 win over Lailani Wallin.  Another first time finalist, Madison Flatin, then beat LeBlanc 218-188 to advance to the title match.

Top seed Colt Jance had been brilliant all day, but found himself in a war of attrition in the finale, as neither bowler could scrape out marks consistently in the back half of the game.  In the end, Flatin had a chance to snag the win with a spare, but when she could not convert a cluster, Colt escaped with a 176-163 win, and the second title of his JBT career.

Coates did claim the day's U17 win with a victory over AJ Hooper, while Reagan Lorey mad a return visit from school to beat Evan Smith and earn the Priority Girls Scratch crown.

Big thanks to Allyn Clark and the team at Rainbow for a great job hosting a JBT event for the first time.  Want in on all the fun?  Just check out our schedule and come on down!
