WILDFIRE LANES

champs Zach Greim & Zackary Othic with finalists

Zach Greim completed a dream weekend, while Zackary Othic joined his brother as JBT champions, in exciting Mojave Conference action at Wildfire Lanes in Henderson.

Bowlers competed in the dramatic 'pick your survivor' format. In the scratch semifinals, Cerell Cardines got by Lucas Rabb 236-182, while Greim kept rolling with a 239-186 win over top seed Devyn Patalina.

Cardines had the advantage of veteran experience on his side in the final, but even he had no answer for stopping Zach this weekend.  After winning his first scratch singles title the day before, he grinded out a 200-187 win over Cerell for his second straight title, and 4th overall JBT victory.  He wrapped up the perfect weekend with another win over Patalina, this time 247-186 to win the U17 subdivision.

The handicap division was carved down to three survivors, and in that penultimate round, Othic's 234 and Kendall Bollea's 195 advanced, while Emily Cheesman's 181 ended her day in a solid third place finish.   The finale looked to be all Zackary, but Bollea hung tough, and had a chance for an amazing comeback in the late frames.  After striking in the ninth and tenth, Kendall couldn't get the hit in the 11th, and a relived Othic claimed a 223-209 win, and his first career JBT title.

Samantha Conti had her own sweep on the weekend, beating Cheesman 193-188 for the Priority Girls Scratch win.
