ARIZONA DOUBLES

Over $3,000 was awarded in terrific action at the 23rd annual Arizona Doubles Classic, hosted by Bowlero Mesa.
Dawson Reese and Chris Tucker began the scratch division baker-format stepladder finals with a 253-219 win over the team of Hunter Mayes and Justin Song. Chris and Dawson kept it rolling in the semifinals, stopping Keith Fung and Troy Blickenstaff 232-185. Cortez Schenck and Mark Myers completely dominated the event, including a 300 from Cortez during qualifying, and didn't slow down in the finals either. They won the title match 235-191 for the 11th JBT title of Myers' career, and an unreal 95th for Schenck.
Alisabeth Rich and Clifford and William Robbins' father WIlliam II began a climb up the handicap division stepladder with a 185-170 win over Gavin Holter and AJ Imperial. They then stopped the California duo of Simon Ortega and Braeden Phillips 187-173 to reach the title match. The girl-power pair of Madison Holman and Emily Cheesman had bowled great to reach the top seed, but were unable to put it together in the title match. Alisabeth and William won the match 192-170, good for her second career JBT title, while William, a constant doubles participant, claimed his first.

HANDICAP 90% OF 400 (i.e. -- team entering at 380 will get 18 pins)
Bowlers who have competed in JBT events in 19-20 will use their JBT average. All others must use their highest
19-20 average, 15 games minimum. All others will use 200. Teams over 400 MUST bowl scratch.
