        Four JBT veterans claimed JBT titles at the So Cal Doubles Classic, hosted at the Bowlium in Montclair.

        In the baker-format stepladder finals, the teal of Noel Hernandez and Josh Molloy won round one 212-204 over the Vegas team of Sebastian Huffman and Tyler Castronova.  The high-rev team of Ricky Pollom and Marquan Rivers then stopped Noel and Josh 223-212 to make it an all two-handed scratch title match (un-shockingly).

        Daniel Hong and Solomon Salama were the runaway team all day long, especially helped by Salama's jaw-dropping 300-804 (with the front 17) start to the day.  It was more of the same in the finals, as they poured on the strikes for the win, the 31st of Solomon's career and Daniel's second to go with the Arizona Invitational last season.

        Lindsay Greim is a great bowler under any format, but may well be Queen of Doubles, as she made yet another finals, this time pairing with Nathan Tidball (who himself was subbing for an injured, ancient Kyle Reed).  They began a run up the ladder with a 232-212 win over Emily Schrider and Joe Jimenez.  In a close round two they edged Martin Velasco and Dominic Fisher 225-213 to reach the final.   Top seeded brothers RJ and Cameron Escurel had taken over the event with a great matchplay set, and fought to the end here.  However, Lindsay and Nathan had just enough to squeeze out the victory, Tidball's third and Greim's sixth. 

        Big thanks to the team at Bowlium for hosting a packed crowd, and all the adults for bowling with today's JBT kids.  Over $3,200 in scholarships were awarded to all skill levels, to get in on the fun, just check out our schedule and come on down!

Brackets – ‘adult’ and ‘junior’ scratch and handicap brackets will be run.

‘Junior’ prizes are awarded as scholarship and ‘adult’ prizes are awarded as cash.

Adults may also choose to declare any/all winnings to their partner as scholarship.

HANDICAP 90% OF 400 (i.e. -- team entering at 380 will get 18 pins)

Bowlers who have competed in JBT events in 21-22 will use their JBT average.  All others must use their highest

21-22 average, 15 games minimum.  All others will use 200. Teams over 400 MUST bowl scratch.

PLEASE do not forget to contact us if you need to cancel or adjust your reservation.  If you did not reserve with a partner, please provide this info as soon as possible (to avoid overlaps).  This list may not be updated after the Friday of the event as we travel, etc. 

This event is full and a waiting list started - please check your reservations below and encourage folks to reserve immediately!  If you're stuck on the waiting list, you still might want to come on down Saturday morning and see if there is a no-show, if additional spots open up, etc.
