        Four champions were crowned in one of our favorite annual events, the Tournament of All-Time JBT Champs, and simultaneous Tournament of Non-Champs, hosted by Phoenix's Let It Roll.

        Rene Canez started off the scratch champs division stepladder finals by showing why he's a multi-time champ, firing the front eleven strikes in a 296-214 win over Keith Ylvisaker.  Canez then got past 23-time champ and current GCU coach Ben Canfield 220-185 to advance to the finals.  Recent GCU grad Josh Molloy awaited.  Josh showed why he won 10 titles as a JBT bowler, cruising in the final to the win and adding win #11 to his resume.

        Handicap champs began their stepladder with Ethan Brancatelli getting by London Reyes 201-193.  Terrell Coates then emerged from a topsy-turvy match against Ethan 181-178 to advance to the finals.  Top seed Drake Wilkins just became a champ in March, and was looking to make it two before a 7-2 tenth frame resulted in a title match tie.  Coates won the ensuing two-frame rolloff with a clutch fill ball strike for his second career JBT title.

        All the non-champs bowlers showed that a JBT win may well be in their near future with great performances, beginning with Jadeyn Mabry's 214-205 win over Christian Ortega.  Mabry then snuck by Braxton Sexton to get to the title match.  She then ran into a bulldozer in Nicholas Harnit, who has had an excellent season but hasn't gotten over the top.  That ended here emphatically, as he blasted seven of the first eight strikes to stop Jadeyn and become a JBT scratch champion (after his handicap Bowler of the Year season prior).  Xavier Provencher won the first round of the handicap stepladder 232-212 over Savanah Workman.  Thomas Glass then stopped Provencher to reach the title game.  Top seed Zaylee-Ann Vercado-Duclayan, visiting from Hawaii with the Manlapit family, made an amazing debut by easily topping the field.  However, Thomas was up to the challenge, stopping Zaylee-Ann in the title match to capture a long awaited first career JBT title.

You choose your division as always, but you have to be a champ in that division to bowl in the champs’ category. (Example: if you only won a handicap title but want to bowl the T of C in scratch, you bowl in scratch non-champs).  Adults must bowl scratch champs.

Limited to 120 bowlers.  JBT bowlers use 23-24 JBT average, all others use highest 23-24 15+ game average, verification required for handicap.  All other JBT rules apply.  Walk-ins OK as space permits.. Please help us spread the word to our JBT alumni.  We'll see you there, don't miss it!
