PAC NW INVITATIONAL

champs & finalists
Jacob San Juan and Deklyn Bishop earned $1,000 scholarship prizes as champions of the 2026 JBT Pacific Northwest Conference Invitational tournament, held at Longview’s Triangle Bowl.
Michael McCuen continued his strong back end of the season, grabbing the #1 seed of the 16 bowlers advancing to scratch division triple elimination match play. He did well there too, getting through six rounds with only one loss. By round eight, only four bowlers remained, and in that round, #6 seed San Juan eliminated two-time defending champ Henry Hind, while #15 Matthew Lennox, who went 0-2 to begin matchplay, continued an incredible run by eliminating McCuen. This set up a final where Matthew needed to beat Jacob twice to win the title. In match one, San Juan needed a double to win it all, but after a flush strike couldn’t get the second hit, sending things to a deciding game. This time, Jacob held the mid-match lead he had, winning the game and, at just age 14, the Invitational, for his second career JBT title.
Maddie Rowe was brilliant in handicap qualifying to grab the top seed, but struggled in matchplay, falling in round four. That helped #2 seed Samantha Slater Hoadley survive until round seven, but she was eliminated there by Isaiah Siemon. In the next round, Bishop eliminated Siemon, and #3 Anaka Bachteler eliminated #7 Ella Schaffner (finishing third for the second straight year), leaving them each with only one loss, setting up a best 2-of-3 title match. They split the first two games, and in the decider, Deklyn started firing off the strikes, defeating Anaka to with the Invite for his second career JBT title.
The Girls Scratch Invite title was won by Piper Chalmers with a win over Laelah Tiquia, though Tiquia earlier had the individual highlight of the day with a perfect 300 on a very difficult pattern. U17 was Do Hoon Kwon vs Ewan Oester for one last time before they aged out, and this time around it was Kwon with the win.
Big thanks to Beau and the Triangle team, a true bowlers’ bowling center, for their usual amazing hosting job. Top season long performers now advance to the JBT Touring Players Championship, to play against the best of the best Tour-wide!
