Jess Gagliardi and Timothy Dominguez captured JBT titles in exciting NM-TX action at Roswell's Town & Country.

The exciting "survivor" format produced do-or-die action throughout the house, and the scratch division used a sport pattern, doubling the pressure and premium on shotmaking.

Eventually the field was whittled to four.  In those semifinal matches, Jess Gagliardi squeezed by Bill Grant 206-202, and William Entsminger pounded Nathan Shock 238-186 to set up the title match.

Jess and William went at it for a title earlier this year, at Holiday Bowl, also in Survivor, also on a non-house pattern.  Unfortunately for William, the deja vu was completed when he suddenly lost the great look he had all day, and the consistent Gagliardi took advantage for a 207-162 win and his second title.  The win also increased the points lead for the tough Colorado bowler.

In the handicap division, Camron Adams, Sophie Diaz, Joshua Glass, and Dakota Corbell were eliminated in the round of 8, leavnig 4 semifinalists.  In those  matches, Billy Read, fresh off his Main Event win, defeated Joseph Dominguez 250-224, while Joseph's brother Timonthy avenged the family, defeating Jordan Spam, the previous day's champion, 253-210, to reach the title match.

Read rolled his first 700 series during the survivor rounds, but the corner pins that had been falling so well suddenly stood in the title match, and Dominguez took advantage for a 218-188 win and his first JBT victory.
