Brandon Allred returned to the winner's circle, while Ian Hanuscin tasted victory for the first time, in exciting JBT Mojave Conference action at Texas Station.

Allred climbed the ladder en route to the title.  He began with a 234-182 win over Brandon Watts, who's off to a great start this season but has struggled in the stepladder.  Allred then got by Matt Cormack 236-167, and continued his high scores- on the PBA scorpion pattern, by the way- with a 234-155 triumph over Carl Winder, who made his first finals of the season.

Top seed Kyle King continued his unprecented start to the 07-08 campaign by leading the field during the 8-game qualifier.  However, even Kyle had no answer for the all-red-hot Allred, who came up with his high game of the finals in beating King 243-200.  The win was the first of the season and 6th of the talented righty's JBT career.

In a battle of Arizonans, Josh Shoup opened the handicap division stepladder finals with a 190-183 squeaker over Alicia Sullivan.  Eric Hatchett, the previous day's champion at Suncoast, then came on to beat Shoup 230-182.  Hanuscin then ended Hatchett's bid for back-to-back titles with a 252-203 semifinal win to earn his first ever spot in the final.

Top seed Aubrey Calabrese had put on a spectacular show en route to grabbing the top seed for the first time, but Hanuscin had been right behind her all day long. In a very well bowled match by both bowlers, it was Ian who came away with the 229-214 victory and his first JBT title.
