     Kyle King won his third JBT tournament in eight days, while Jonah Seawright won his third career JBT tournament, in exciting NM-TX Conference action at Leisure Bowl.

    Felishia Sevier opened the handicap division stepladder finals with a 194-181 squeaker over Josh Barress.  In another tight match, Felishia beat Terry Wade 212-200, and then followed with a 223-210 win over Bailey McFarland to reach her first title match.

   Top seed Seawright was a two-time winner last season, and picked a great time to have his best event of the new season, as he picked up double first place points with a tenth frame spare that gave him a 186-182 victory over Sevier.

   King struggled along with nearly everyone else on the tricky Viper pattern, but squeaked into the number 5 position for the scratch division stepladder finals- which was bad news for the rest of the field, because he caught fire from there.  Zach Barnard's 216 was his high game of the day (any 200 was a good one), but Kyle blasted a 241 to win round one.  He exploded for a 267-170 win over William Entsminger in round two, and blasted Nathan Shock 221-175 in the semifinals.

   Top seed Rebeca Reguero had come oh-so-close to her first scratch title two weeks ago in San Diego, and could taste it again here, with an early lead on King.  However, the tables turned in the title game's second half, as a late open from Rebeca combined with a late big string from Kyle resulted in a 235-206 win for King, and his 24th career JBT victory.
