Marshall Kent and Greg Lawrence captured their first JBT titles in exciting Pac NW Conference action at AMF20th Century Lanes.
Scratch division points leader Lucas Stone opened up the stepladder finals with a 188-174 win over Perry Crowell IV, who finished V. Lucas then used two tenth frame brooklyn strikes to beat little brother Cody Stone 222-188. Eryk Jensen advanced to his first JBT title match with a 211-202 squeaker over Stone.
Top seed Marshall Kent dominated the field from mid-tournament on, and he and Jensen engaged in a classic power vs. power title match which remained tight until the ninth frame, where Jensen missed a 3-6 that Kent took advantage of for a 214-206 win and his first career victory.
Ronnie Goodman opened his third consecutive handicap division finals with a 226-213 victory over first time finalist Mikayla Brewington. Goodman then rolled past Travis McAllister 193-170, before Cody Nelson stopped Goodman 226-215 to reach the title match.
Top seed Greg Lawrence had completely dominated the handicap field, leading every round. He showed no signs of slowing down in the finale either, defeating Nelson 244-212 for his first career JBT title.
