2023 JBT Las Vegas Main Event- Handicap Singles

Nolan Randisi and Cailyn Robey; handicap finalists

         Nolan Randisi of Brooklyn NY defeated Cailyn Robey of Fontana CA to capture the handicap singles division of the 2023 JBT Las Vegas Main Event, hosted and sponsored by the South Point Bowling Plaza.

        A diverse cross-section of ages and skill levels, guys and girls, made it to the bracket style finals, which began with Leo Lebel Jr defeating Eddie Torres, and Vincenzo Cruzate defeating Neel Kankariya.  Randisi then stopped Lebel in a close match, while Cruzate continued his Tristan Dalton impression (fellow Las Vegan Tristan climbed the handicap ladder last year) with a win over Hawaii's Kelsey Oshiro.  The top two seeds then entered, with Robey stopping Cruzate's run, while top seed 7 year-old Avery Dolorfino's tremendous event ended at the hands of 9-year old Nolan.  Yes, those ages are correct.

        Robey, appearing in her first finals of any bowling event, let alone the big stage of Main Event, more than held her own, while Nolan recovered from opens with doubles to stay in the lead.  In the end, the precocious preteen had enough to win the match over Cailyn and win the tournament and its $3,700 top prize, while Robey roped in a cool $2,500 for second.
