2024 JBT Las Vegas Main Event- Girls Scratch Singles

champs Lindsay Greim & runner-up Kendall Bollea

Two of JBT's most veteran and most talented ladies battled it out, and in the end, Lindsay Greim of San Diego CA emerged as girls scratch singles division champion of the 2024 JBT Las Vegas Main Event, hosted at the South Point Bowling Plaza, and presented by IAM Bowling, the Brands of Brunswick, JBT, and South Point.

All six finalists that survived the 14 games of challenging qualifying and matchplay were JBT vets who used that experience to get signed to fantastic colleges.  The most veteran was Las Vegas' Ava McLaughlin, now a sophomore at Webber, but #6 seed Kendall Bollea ended her run in round one, while Greim simultaneously ousted Texan Kloey Kielich, now a freshman at Mount Mercy.  In round two, Greim, a recent commit to Vanderbilt, upset #2 Stephanie Hong, a Vandy freshman in a topsy-turvy match 221-218, while Kendall, who will star at Stephen F Austin next year, defeated top seed, defending champion, and another Vandy commit, Katelyn Abigania in an exciting 199-191 match, to set up the final.

Bollea and Greim have played in countless Girls Scratch matches on the weekly JBT Tour, and have advanced through the ranks of beginning girls to the talents they are now.  Each worked hard for the breakthrough win, but in the end Lindsay had just a little more left in the tank, winning the match 190-170 for the victory and sweet $2,000 first place scholarship prize, while Bollea tallied $1,300 for the runner-up performance.  In total, a record-smashing $75,000 was earned by bowlers of all ages and skill levels from all over America, as well as Japan and Mexico!

Big thanks to all for attending, and our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and vendors for making an event of this scope possible.  We look forward to even bigger and better things at the 2025 Main Event, December 26-30 back at the South Point Plaza!
