2008 Main Event Junior Gold Qualifier
In a separate 6-game qualifier held in conjunction with the Main Event, five bowlers earned spots in the 2009 Junior Gold finals, held July 2009 in Indianapolis. Greg Geering led the boys' qualifier at 1285, while Kristi Mickleson won the girls' event at 1213. They, along with boys' runner-up Nathan Shock, were the only ones to average over 200 on the challenging pattern.
Finalists' information will be sent to USBC, and finalists will receive packets from USBC with information they need to fill out and return to USBC as soon as possible.
