PAC NW BAKER TEAM CHALLENGE
champs and finalists
Four JBT vets teamed up with an adult rookie to win the JBT Pac NW Baker Shootout, hosted by Bowlero Lakewood.
Although a scratch event, every team had to had at least one bowler averaging under 170, with bonus pins for extra under bowlers. This allows all skill levels and ages to have a chance, as the JBT motto says, and that was exemplified by qualifying leaders Benjamin Lang, newcomer Ben Struna, Tayler Lindstrom, and Lucas and Chad Lyle. They fell in round one of matchplay though, as the 'Beach Boys' from the Ocean Shores area won their best 2-of-3 match. They in turn fell to '4 Youths and a Baldy', featuring Chad Chalmers as the eponymous follicle-free leader, setting up the title match.
The top seeded team of Liam, Bud, Mac, and recent grad Andrew, with 31 career titles between them, recruited Johnny Sevilla to join them, and he held his own all day, especially in game one of matchplay, where his two strikes were part of a team 12-bagger for only the second Baker 300 in all of JBT history! They remained tough in the title match as well, sweeping it 2-0 for Liam's 4th, Bud's 11th, Mac's 6th, and Andrew's 13th career wins. For Chalmers' team, it was career high finishes for Savanna, Addy, Hailey, and Noah.
Hailey also earned $40 in our famous 'halftime games', while Cameron Schneider nailed the '28' jackpot for a $100 holiday bonus. Big thanks to Bill Henry and the team at Bowlero for a fantastic hosting job, and all the adults for taking the time to bowl with today's kids in maybe the most fun event of the season. Want in on all this? Just check out our schedule and come on down!
